(Answer) (Category) Cisco CCIE Certification and CCNP Certification FAQs :
What as-path regular expression matches routes generated from my local AS?
^$
The as-path attribute of a route is changed as the route is sent to the neighbour. Therefore, locally generated routes will have no as-path.
The ^ matches the beginning of the as-path. The $ matches the end. Put together, this means that it will match a string that has nothing in it.
